Biography

张劲,现任职于中科院深圳先进研究院博士后和助理研究员,开展人体感知和机器学习方向的研究工作。曾就职于澳大利亚悉尼的智能楼宇公司,负责开发物联网自组网通信协议, 同时也管理一个外包软件团队。此前2013-2017年,张劲在澳大利亚新南威尔士大学计算机学院和联邦科学研究院任职研究员,并获得了计算机博士学位。 张劲曾结合AI机器学习技术和物联网IOT设备,如商业WiFi笔记本电脑或路由器,用于人体感知,在国际学术会议上发表多篇高水平论文。这些创新科技利用WiFi信号可识别个人身份, 也可识别人体的运动,如呼吸、手势、头部运动等等。

张劲在攻读博士期间曾担任澳大利亚新南威尔士州中国学生学者联谊会主席,该联谊会是隶属于澳大利亚悉尼中国领事馆的学生自发组织机构。 张劲曾参加在人民大会堂召开的全国学联第二十六届代表大会,作为澳大利亚留学生代表(9位海外代表之一)。曾联合悉尼领馆、南方航空和国内地方政府高校科 研院所等在悉尼共同举办许多文娱和人才交流活动。张劲是澳洲和平统一促进会青委会委员,曾作为澳洲青年代表访问云南迪庆藏族自治区。

Jin Zhang currently is a PostDoctor and Assistant Researcher in Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology (SIAT), Chinese Academy of Sciences, China. Previously, Jin developed the patented technologies for LoRa based IoT products, and managed an outsourcing team in Sydney, Australia. Jin worked in CSE, UNSW and CSIRO as a research engineer and PhD scholarship holder from 2013-2017. During this period, Jin obtained his PhD degree as well. Jin combined AI, machine learning technology with IoT devices i.e. commercial WiFi laptop or router for human sensing. These technical innovations exploit WiFi signals to recognize human identity and monitor micro human motions such as breathing, hand, head movement etc. Jin also developed a LoRa network protocol for emergency lights. Jin developed a light communication protocol that deployed on over 100 sensors in Singapore.

Jin has 5 years C, C++, MATLAB and Python programming experience. Jin specializes in AI machine learning, signal processing, and network protocol design in IoT area. Jin has extensive team management and event design experience. He run a Chinese student and scholar association, NSW, Australia and managed team from 10 to 30 members during PhD. Jin organized several large events and cooperated with China Sydney Embassy, China Southern Airline etc.
